Why do So Many People Have Diabetes?


In today’s society, there are several people that suffer from different types of diseases and medical conditions.  Approximately 23.6 million people in the United States today suffer from diabetes, including children.  This is about 7% of the American population that have this horrible disease.

Some people are never even diagnosed, leading to a life threatening situation.  But why is that so many people are suffering from this disease?  Researchers have shown that it is commonly a result due to obesity and the lack of exercising,  while others studies have claimed that it is a genetic disease.  If you sit back and think about it thou, what have changed throughout the past?  Our lifestyles and diets!

The main reason that there are several cases of diabetic people is due to poor nutrition, not enough fibers, the low protein intakes, and also the processed foods.

When children begin consuming foods that are high in the sugars, or even food that are processed, it is increasing their chances of becoming a diabetic.

Today foods are process with a lot more sugars, such as high fructose corn syrup.  With all these chemicals that are processed into our foods and the lack of exercising, it is no wonder that so many people are suffering from this horrible disease.  

Not only does obesity cause major difficulties to your body, but it also increases your body’s resistance levels against insulin.  So, decrease your chances of suffering from this disease and fight against it by changing your family’s lifestyle.
