What Does Diabetes Have to do with Vision?

It is a known fact that Diabetes might cause problems with your eyes.  Some people might not understand why Diabetes creates eye problems so hopefully this will help the ones that don't understand.

The reasons why eye problems occur with people who have Diabetes:

- Blood vessels are damaged also known as Diabetic retinopathy
- Glaucoma causes pressure because of increased fluids inside your eye that might cause nerve damage
- Cataract might occur causing the lens of your eye to cloud

Once your blood vessels have change in them it could cause you to become blind depending on how severe the change is. Your vision might get really bad when you have Diabetes and you could lose it all together. People don't usually become blind right away because there are certain stages that must happen first unless if something happens to provoke it.
