Why is the Risk of Stroke Higher with Diabetes?

There are a lot of risk factors that people have when you are Diabetic and the risk factors might serve as a major roll with strokes happening.

Some Risk Factors Of Strokes:

- Blood Cholesterol Levels. Having high cholesterol is bad for your health and can cause strokes.

- Cigarette smoking is another risk factor. You double your chance of having a stroke and if  you smoke a lot you have even a greater chance of a stroke.

If you feel like that you might be in danger of having a stroke or feel one coming on, contact your doctor or call 911 right away. Don't put off treatment for stroke because if you delay treatment it might result in death or make your condition really serious. If you have questions about strokes or feel that you might get one, talk with your doctor and see about possible early prevention and treatment.
