How is Insulin Shock Treated?


When Hypoglycemia or an insulin shock occurs, you should treat it right away and there certain ways that you can do this.

Ways to treat insulin shock:

- Have real sugar with having candy bars, table sugars or fruit drinks

- Get Sugar and rub it on your gums or either underneath your tune.

They also have first aid kits out there for people with Diabetes that you can purchase and have at your house if something happens. While it's very easy to treat the symptoms, you should still not ignore them because it can lead into other serious and threatening conditions.

If a person says that they are low on insulin you can help by getting the food for them and letting them sit down so they don't faint. Don't take your time trying to figure out what sugar food items they can have, just get one that you know has a lot. When you are living with a person that has Diabetes it's a good idea to have some candy bars there for when something like this happens.
