Diabetes is a chronic disease characterized by an excess of glucose in the bloodstream and the body’s inability to use the insulin hormone to lower the level. Legumes, such as beans, peas, lentils, non-fat soy products are also good for diabetes. Ideally, a low-fat, vegetarian diet is the key to reduce calories and maintain sugar levels in patients diagnosed with diabetes.
Although there are no strict recipes for the prevention of diabetes, eating right is always a good choice. Introducing diversity to a regular diabetes recipe can help alleviate the boredom and make eating more interesting. |
