When you have Diabetes your small blood vessels are destroyed and that can cause you to have damage on the nerve system and when you have nerve damage it can cause you to be in a lot of pain. Diabetes cause problems with your small nerves because it alters the way they feel and it sends mixed signals to your spinal cord and that is when it becomes painful. Doctors give treatments and medications to help reduce the pain but sometimes it is not enough. Despite the medication you can still have pain. That is another reason why you should stay on your diet and keep up with the way you eat. Not eating right might increase the pain and you won't be able to heal quickly. Staying active and having exercised might help the pain decrease. If the pain is really bad call your doctor for treatment right away and don't put it off. |
