How Many People Have Diabetes?

There is new data out about how many people have Diabetes. When you are told that you have Diabetes people often feel like they are alone but the new Diabetes Statistics show that you are not alone.

A lot of children have Diabetes and in fact, over 23.6 million have been diagnosed having diabetes and that's just children.

All together the number of people with diabetes is over 7.8% of the nation so in other words, 17.9 million have been diagnosed with Diabetes.

While 5.7 million have not yet been diagnosed with diabetes.

Each year there are over 1.6 million cases that are diagnosed from a variety of ages making it one with around 400-600 adolescents with diabetes and most of them are overweight.

In the year 2006 Diabetes was the main cause with death and over 72,507 people died because of having Diabetes.

There are now a lot of support groups online and in real life to help people with Diabetes. They are trying to make it so people can afford medication and not have to put off any kind of treatment.
