Why is There a Risk of Kidney Damage with Diabetes? |
You have a greater chance of having kidney damage with Diabetes because of the way your system is working with the blood and not flowing the way that it should. People who are Diabetic just don't get kidney disease overnight for the most part because it takes time to develop and grow. If you ignore treatments and don't take care of your body the way you should when you are Diabetic chances are it will happen faster. Ones who are over 65 years of age really are at a high risk of having kidney damage if they have Diabetes. When you are older and you're sick it might be really hard to fight off the infection. If you are worried about possible kidney damage later in life you should talk with your doctor and see if there are any treatments or medications that you can take to help build your kidney strong so hopefully it will not happen. |
