Diabetes and depression is not typically listed as a combined complication. However, depression is known as the most dangerous and common complications in several people. Diabetics are at a greater risk of suffering from depressions as oppose to the general public. A diabetic with severe depression issues is at a higher rate for reoccurring episodes. When a diabetic become depressed, then they might not have the motivation nor energy to be able to maintain their healthy diabetic management skills. Suicidal diabetics try to overdose on a higher dosage of insulin. When a person becomes diagnosed with diabetes it could be a major stress on their lives. The individual has to learn and take in a lot of healthy responsibility and adjustments in their life. A newly diagnosed person might even go through a stage of depression and mourning. They could be in a denial state of mind, anger, or even reject the acceptance. Having these feeling are very normal for a person that has just discovered a new medical condition that they have.
